AP Art History: Summer Reading Introductions
July 16, 2010 in AP Art History, Latest News, Slideshow
Hello again! Just trying to give you the low down on our summer reading activity for AP Art History!
First of all, welcome to our site. Get used to it, because here you will find a TON of resources to help you out in your year-long quest to master Art History. You can get familiar with our blog here. On the blog you will find presentations for each unit of study plus other updates.
This site works very much like any other social media site – Facebook, for example (you’re not still using MySpace or Friendster, are you?!). You create a profile where you can befriend others and communicate. This is important because you all will be studying Art History and going through roughly the last 10,000 plus years of human history at a rapid rate! You will want to form groups to help you study and prepare.
Once you create a profile, you will also need to join our AP Art History group. I will send you an invite via email – so make sure you register using an email address that you will check regularly. In fact, you may want to get into the habit of having a more “professional” email that you can use when you go to college, etc. (bingbangbunny@whateveremail.com is not going to provoke great pride!).
After you have joined our group, you will need to make a post in our private forum. Look for the “Welcome” thread there (a thread is what we call a discussion on message boards) and answer according to the instructions I left for you.
Well, that is enough hoops to jump through for now. As always, if you have any trouble hit me up and I will help you out. Glad to see you are working on that tan while reading your book for AP Art History “But is it Art?” By Cynthia Freeland!
